I hate to answer a question with a question but what about the dealer…. He should be able to tell you, then you go to tractor supply and buy one. I have bought stuff just to see if it fitted. Everybody else on here has give unclear advice so it looks like pretty much a guess at it and see. But if I were to guess I’d vote metric. Good luckAnyone know the thread size used on the oil sending unit on a Daedong 3 cylinder used on the Mahindra 3510
Want to install oil pressure gauge and need fitting size used before I order the parts.
BSP NPT or Metric ? and what size
most OPS are 1/8 NPT or 3/8 NPT on. I have never seen a metric ops on cars-trucks or tractorsAnyone know the thread size used on the oil sending unit on a Daedong 3 cylinder used on the Mahindra 3510

The GM LS series gas engines uses metric thread. Also, 1/8" NPT is less common these days. It can be confused with 1/8" BSP that has different threads--27 TPI for NPT and 28 TPI for BSP. The best thing to do is measure the old one and use a very accurate Thread Pitch Gauge. The last thing you want to do is use the wrong size/TPI and cause an oil leak.I have never seen a metric ops on cars-trucks or tractors
Before you install a new one, hold the threads together and make sure the new one matches the old one.The GM LS series gas engines uses metric thread. Also, 1/8" NPT is less common these days. Jigs, he can’t do that. The female of it is in the engine block. According to his first postBefore you install a new one, hold the threads together and make sure the new one matches the old one.
Oil pressure sensors, I have seen, have male thread. And I always hold the threaded sections together, and check threads.Jigs, he can’t do that. The female of it is in the engine block. According to his first post
