I would pull the plug and measure it up. A good set of calipers and some pitch gauges, or a check plate set. The thread check kits run $35 to $100 on Amazon.

Assuming that the sender you're removing is in good shape, you can get the thread gauge from a tap and die set and check the 1/8" NPT against it. If it isn't exact, it will be BSP. You could also research the part number for the sender and see if the thread is given in any of the descriptions. I'd do both, hoping they agree.

I've found lots of oil senders with metric threads; 10 / 1.5 or 10 / 1.25

The one on my tractor I couldn't source at all, I had to make an adaptor.

So if the OP doesn't get an answer, you need to either measure the old one or take it to a machinist or maybe a good parts store.

Anyone know the thread size used on the oil sending unit on a Daedong 3 cylinder used on the Mahindra 3510

Want to install oil pressure gauge and need fitting size used before I order the parts.

BSP NPT or Metric ? and what size
I hate to answer a question with a question but what about the dealer…. He should be able to tell you, then you go to tractor supply and buy one. I have bought stuff just to see if it fitted. Everybody else on here has give unclear advice so it looks like pretty much a guess at it and see. But if I were to guess I’d vote metric. Good luck

most OPS are 1/8 NPT or 3/8 NPT on. I have never seen a metric ops on cars-trucks or tractors

The GM LS series gas engines uses metric thread. Also, 1/8" NPT is less common these days. It can be confused with 1/8" BSP that has different threads--27 TPI for NPT and 28 TPI for BSP. The best thing to do is measure the old one and use a very accurate Thread Pitch Gauge. The last thing you want to do is use the wrong size/TPI and cause an oil leak.

Before you install a new one, hold the threads together and make sure the new one matches the old one.

Jigs, he can’t do that. The female of it is in the engine block. According to his first post

Oil pressure sensors, I have seen, have male thread. And I always hold the threaded sections together, and check threads.
