I've been looking at the 45" blowers that small engine warehouse has for my 2004 3235. They're asking $850 plus shipping each (scratch & dent). Pictures on their website look nice, I was told the pallets were just busted up and the bottom got scratched (no big deal). Anyone have any thoughts on warranty issues, etc. since they're not an official cub dealer? Thanks.

BTW... there are 5 in stock, URL is here:

Woody,
You might want to check the price on the front hitch and other parts needed,
I think you' might have another 300 to 400 dollars in it.

Good Luck,
Curt

Curt:

Yes, the dealer here in PA is quoting $800 installed for the front hitch alone. Seems a little high to me, fortunately we have 4 or 5 dealers within 20 miles but they're all quoting the same. The blower retails for $1495 here. Thanks.

Try keeping your eye on Ebay for the 190-343. I found a complete used one including all the little parts for $400 shipped to my house. He even threw in the snowthrower drive shaft!

P.S. The 343 kit from cub has been replaced by the 190-414($699) and the 190-415($399) The only new 343s you will find will be NOS. Good luck with that- I looked for 6 weeks and almost broke down and bought the new kits from cub before I stumbled across the used one.

Woody, Last summer I bought a bagger attachment for my cub tractor (2500) from small engine warehouse. Now I realize it's not a snowblower, but, they advertised it as a scratch and dent. What I received from them was a completely mint condition bagger, just as good as what would come from the dealer. What was scratched and dented was the box the bagger came in, the contents inside were perfect. I knew I was taking a chance and that possibly the bagger would be incomplete but all the parts were there, including the instructions for assembly and mounting, even new mower blades, even though they specifically said no mower blades were included.

I've actually ordered from them twice now, and have not had any problems with the products. I find they are very conservative in how they represent thier goods. Hope that helps!!

Thanks a lot everyone for your input, I really appreciate it. Although I would absolutely love to have the blower now, I think I'm going to spend the $$ on the dozer blade with the lift kit and the hydro angling kit to start. From what I've read from other members it's a heavy unit and if I get some weight on the back I shouldn't have too much trouble pushing the snow back. Thanks again.

Just an observation. If you had a Cub garden tractor from the series prior to the 3000, you can go on EBAY and pick up a 450, 451 thrower for $300 to $500 and you're good to go.

I bought a 5252 and when I investigated a blower, I found I could buy a used tractor (1872) and blower for less money than the blower and accessories needed for the 5252

Maybe in a few years when the 3000 attachments start hitting the market, they will be a little more reasonable! No, it wont fit a 3000 series.....

Curt

I have a 450 Cub blower for sale here and locally for $350, I haven't had one call, except for the guy who wanted to know the horsepower of the tractor that came with it!
