B7610
I started this process looking for a good used tractor with a cap of 15,000. I have looked around a lot and it looks like I have decided to go with the B7610 w/FEL and front mount blower. I definitely liked the B3030, but it was just too pricy and the 7800 is still a little more than I want to spend. I found the B7610 with the FEL, blower and cap for right around 18,000. Is that a decent price?

I will be using it mostly for yard work and blowing snow. My driveway is about 100yds long. We do get a lot of snow here in Northern Michigan so I would also like a cap. I have looked at the Sims and Curtis models. I like the look of the Sims, but it's a little more.

Any thoughts on the 7610 or on which cap I should look at getting. Also what is the max size BB and brush hog you would put behind the 7610?

I have a 2410 with a Curtis cab and use it in northern Vermont (near the Canadian border).
The 7610 sounds like a good choice and the price for the total package doesn't sound too bad to me.
I installed the cab myself and the only issue I had was that the newer loader controller didn't quite match up with the opening in the Curtis cab for it. A little "customization" and I was fine. The cab will make all the difference in the winter, but does make the sound level inside somewhat louder.
I pull a 5 foot box blade but can't help you with brush hog size.

I have no clue on the price of a snow blower, but I bought a 7610 with LA352 FEL and filled R4's for $12,900 in July of this year in PA.

I bought a 7610 last year. I traded it in this spring for a 7800. It was a great decision and I have not regretted it once. The 7610 was a nice tractor, but I just wanted more tractor. The 7800 has a 4 cylinder engine, a 60" bucket compared to the 50" on the 7610, the bucket lifts a foot higher than the 7610 too. It cost me $3000 to trade and it was well worth it. I don't know what the price difference is new, but I would consider it.

Griffey,

Your price is in line with us in the northest around $14k for 7610 & LA352 FEL, I do not have but plan on getting a front mount blower BX2750B was quoted $2,825. I looked at the Curtis cab but I think it would get beat-up too badly in the summer around trees and other yard obstacles.

I was told that on a Curtis cab you can remove the doors in the summertime but the cab still stays on (A/C not going to work on B7610)
