i've seen the 8ft metal post for chain link fence, but chain link doesn't weigh as much or catch as much wind as that wood fence will: so i figure it needs something a little stronger..i will check with lowes the next time i am there: we are "suppose" to be getting a home depot this year, but they haven't started breaking ground yet
