Well i went out and bought a thomas 1700 and boy do i love it, it doesnt have the hand controls i was used to but after a little while the foot controls are just as easy to use.I must say for the price of the machine 13500 brand new you cant really get a better deal. I have driven just about every namebrand skid steer out there andthis one does as good if not better a job as the rest of them

I prefer the foot controls on my 250 Deere.
SSL do a great job.

Keep us posted on how you like it. I guess this a year for skid steers one friend bought a Takeuchi TL150 boy is that a tough looking machine, with a tough price tag to go with it as well. Another friend bought a Bobcat T200. Another bought a used 773 bobcat. Now they argue which machine is better and of course both talk down on my Kubota.

Good luck with your Thomas.
