eBay/Craigslist This Can't be for Real (Ebay Lidsting)

As I described in a post above, ebay somehow reacts pretty quickly to these types of listings if you send an "ask the seller a question." Yesterday I did just that to the ebay listing discussed in this thread. Within an hour, I received the e-mail shown below. When I got the email, I found that all of that seller's listings (about 30 others) were also pulled from ebay. My guess is that this poor dude's account was hijacked. But, somebody at ebay is paying attention. I have sucessfully bought and sold some pretty big items, including tractors, on ebay. As others have said, you just have to be careful.

Think I found another hijacked account. This guy has sold only 9 items on Ebay in the past and it's fishing equipment. Now he has 42 heavy equipment listing with all of them having 20 hours and 5 minutes left on the auction. In this listing he's using someone elses pictures.

We know you have had at least one BAD experince with ebay. How many things have you bought from there? I don't buy much, but I buy some... most recent is coming UPS today. I have NEVER had a problem, but I have only purchased 25 items over 3 years. I try to be very careful about who I buy from, check feedback and bid accordingly.

Lots of people have never had a problem. But if you do have a problem and E-bays says so what, I bet you will feel different.

Iowachild is correct, ebay wants to collect their money and that is all. They don't care if you get burnt by someone else as long as the someone else gave ebay the correct payment for what was sold. Just my opinion ebay sucks to deal with.
