Will be interested to hear how much trade in value a dealer will give.

I tried to trade a Scagg 52 inch cut mower with 56 hours and less than 2 years old in on a 60inch cut new mower.
Paid right at $8000 for my mower new and another dealer recently offered me $4,000 trade in value.
IMO the dealer tried to steal the mower from me.

I bought my L5030 used with 735 hours on it, put 800 more hours on it and got $1000 less on trade in, so $1000 for a little over two years and a lot of work. The new owner was thrilled with it, bought it for his wife. He just happened to be passing through and stopped to get gas when she saw it across the highway. There is always someone looking for a god used tractor.

My father is going to get a trade in price from the John Deere dealer also mostly to keep everyone honest. He has owned four different kubotas and bought them all from the same place. So he believes they will treat him right but he still will have the JD dealer come look at the tractor. I think the kubota guy was at my house today but haven't spoken to my father yet to see what they valued my tractor at. Hopefully know more tomorrow.

A thousand dollars for 800 hours, I think you made out pretty well tripleR. I bought mine with 450 hours and now have 900. I can't even imagine how I got along without it all those years. I recently build a house and just the time it saved me on that was worth every penny I spent on it.

I sure know what you mean, I had to borrow my father in laws for several years after we got out of farming, I'll never be without one of my own again.
