I have a '86 Ford 1210 (Shibaura) 4WD with <1000 hrs that is a bit too small for my needs. I spoke with Ferguson Tractor(Emporia, VA dealer-> References??) and he will consider taking it in trade. He carries Hino, Iseki, Yanmar, Shibaura, Mitsubishi and Zen-Noh, etc.

I know everyone's favorite is the one they have, but I would like to get a 23+ PTO HP tractor that I can get parts for, that will last, Opinions?? I plan on pulling implements with no plans for a loader or hoe.

Not grey but Mahindra dealers here have been giving some great deals on new 35hp (engine) units.

You are sure right about favorite one.

Well, here's mine. The F series Yanmars are some of the newer models Nice instrumentation, love the power-shift (shift on the go) tranny, and even on occassions the creep range that is independent of other trans ranges that give me a total of 18 ranges fwd. Like the hyd adj for the 3pt tilt as I can make any changed needed right from the seat. Rarely nhave need for the glow plugs and even during winter never more tha 5-7 sec use. Step-thru design of the seating area help with getting on-off. Shift lever on the right fender is easy to access and use while on the move. Only neg I have is due to being short coupled, it is a little tight getting on/off. Oh, one more negitive thing, front steering geometry leaves something to be desired as front outside wheel turns too sharp on tight turns and with the rice tires, digs in and this can be a problem if you on the lawn.

Yanmar will have the most parts support. You might want to look at the YM2310 or even the YM2210 series. If you want a larger frame tractor try the YM2500 or YM2610. All have powershift except the YM2500.

I don't get on this forum much but I would have to agree with Normmm. I stopped at our local Mahindra dealer the other day and I could buy a brand new 35HP Tank, I mean tractor, for 9K. If I didn't need a loader or hoe and wanted a 4000 lb utility type I would have to look at the 3325. Heck the 3525 might be in my future anyways. btw, I am not affiliated with Mahindra and I own a Kioti( Which I also like).
