awhile back I put together a mid size excavator with a power pack driven AFE RDM34EX gen 3 mulching attachment.
I am having a tough time keeping it busy due to limited operating times imposed because of fire danger. the biggest opposition has been from environmentalists,
and the "devastating impact" it has on the land. I guess if you are a woodrat or some other some such critter they may have a point. I live and work in costal California.. Yes, it is rather devastating to vegetation, thought that was the point. more devastating than a wildfire? wildfires are a "natural" occurrence, mulchers are not, so I am told.
AFE RDM34 mounted on a 18000 lb Komatsu PC78, 55hp Deutz powered hyd power unit. power pack puts out conservatively 35gpm at 4500 psi.
pump can be tuned for gpm, psi, cut in - cut out, so good for many applications.
I have about 100 hrs on the rig, it has surpassed all expectations in reliability and productivity.
Think to let it go if I can get a decent offer, ive got about 65K in the whole package not inc many hours fabrication.
