Think Kubota will warranty fuel filter?

Went to clean the fuel filter today. It was replaced about 6 months ago. The bottom metal cap was laying at the bottom of the bowl, so basically I wasn't filtering anything. Who knows how long it's been like that too.

I know it prolly ain't an expensive part, and I plan on calling when I get home. But do you think they will warranty it?

Would depend on who installed it. If the dealer installed it then probably. If you installed then probably not.

Moot point. I am sure I changed it 6months, maybe a year ago. But cannot find a receipt, and the dealer dont shoe me ever getting one. I possibly ordered it online or even got a napa one. Who knows. $18. I'll throw a new one in there.

Or will they warrant a replacement injection pump or injectors 2 years down the road when yours wear out prematurely due to ingested debris??

I believe my Kubota fuel filter was $3 ... Id have to check my receipts. So the filter wouldn't be my issue. As stated above, what Id worry about is if anything worked its way through. More than likely if it did there would be no harm. However, it can always cause a clogged injector etc. How bad was your filter when you pulled it out?

Filter on my B2920, L3540 and L5240 are all the same filter.

Wait, you want Kubota to warranty it when it came from napa or an online retailer? :confused3: or had you forgotten it was not OEM?
I think you owe Kubota an apology. Big orange gets her feeling hurt easily.
