Went to the dealer and the 7800 seemed right in size and power for me. Trying to decide if I should use turf tires or the standard tires...
Here is the pricing the dealer gave me, I'm in central VA, I did a search on pricing and found a little but not a lot:
B7800 $12,550
FEL LA402 $3,200
Mower RCK60-27B $2250
Backhoe $6500
Subtotal $24,500
plus 5% VA tax $1225
Delivery and installation of accessories included.
They are offering the 24mos/0% APR of course, but they said Kubota charges a $230 doc fee to do financing with them (which I guess kind of makes it a 1% financing fee upfront...).
It appears that the Alderman's website shows their prices as $12,213 + $2,058 + $2,888 (they dont appear to have the backhoe on their site)... but just those three items are $700 or so less, plus no sales tax would come to almost $2k less if the BH prices were equal... but then delivery would probably eat that up from MI to VA.
Anyone know of a dealer in a state near VA that would deliver for a decent price?
Bought mine almost exactly one year ago. Paid 14900 for the tractor and FEL. Didin't get the BH so no idea about that. Seems to me that your price is right in line with that. Also, I got the R4 tires and have been very happy with them. The backs are not loaded and I do not notice them chewing up the grass...or what passes for grass...too much.
Can't believe it has been a year already...can't believe how happy I have been with the tractor.
I bought my 7800 last summer. Don't remember the real pricing but the $ on the contract say 12K for the tractor, 3K for the FEL. Actual amounts were less and some other implements were more, I think the dealer adjusted the breakdown to meet Kubota requirements. There was a $50 filing fee and I also purchased insurance thru kubota for $486. There was no other document fee.
I think the actual quoted price of the tractor, FEL, loaded ag tires, delivered was about $13,800. This was in PA.
Good luck, They're alot of fun, oops I mean hard work /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif , to use.
$6500 for a backhoe suggests you are looking at buying Kubota's.
When I bought my B7800 15 months ago I saved about $1200 by getting a Woods BH7500. In addition to the money savings, with Woods I was able to get a subframe mount which I think is much better than 3PH mount for a backhoe. The subframe better spreads the forces generated by the backhoe over a larger section of tractor. It is a good, solid mount, and goes on or off very easily and quickly.
Bradco also makes a good looking backhoe which I understand may be bought with a subframe.
Looks like by shopping out of state I'm going to save about $1200 in taxes and $2000 of the price -- I support local businesses but not to the tune of $3200! So looks like I can get the B7800hst with loader, mower and backhoe, delivered, for about $22k, no tax.
While there would be no tax collected in the state you are buying it in most states require that such purchases be reported to your home state and taxes paid just like you purchased it at your local dealer. While this would be the respondsibility of the buyer I guess it would be up to them to report their purchase. I have talked to my neighbor the local ATV dealer on out of state purchases they are required to send a notice of the out of state sale to the revenue dept. who then send a report of the sale to the home state of the buyer who then sends a statement of the taxes owed to the buyers home state.
BOTAMAN,
With all due respect, it sounds like you are talking about killing the "Golden Goose."
Taxing is a state funtion, not one for dealers.
If you farm...you're exempt.
If you suberb...pay your tax.
As for your ATV neighbor, me thinks he's out side his box.
If you are correct, and he sends these notices, I hope he goes bankrupt, his wife walks the streets, and his children are bashed upon rocks. Sorry to sugar coat it, PM me to find out how I really feel.
