Think I broke 4wd

Bummer.

Is it too far to just drive the tractor there?

Only about 20 miles away. Kind of a distance at, what 12 mph, or whatever is my top speed.

I'll figure it out, but not what I wanted on a new piece of machinery.

Have you looked under the tractor to make sure the linkage is connected, no pins sheared or fallen off?

Did that. The control lever has a link that goes down to a lever arm off the side of the tractor. That lever arm moves back and forth in a solid fashion, actually feels like it is properly shifting in and out of gear. Just doesn't affect the front wheels and their actions.
