Ford: '88 3910 Series II, '80 3600, '65 3000; '07 6530C Branson with FEL, 2020 LS MT225S. Case-IH 395 and 895 with cab. All Diesels
Yepper not much going on. Mine are working as designed. Got my first cutting hay crop in, zero defects. Fixin to get my drum back on the 6530 to cut the Bermuda patch for equine feed. Rain has been super. It stayed dry for my cutting and then got 1.5 and about a week later 2.25 this past Saturday. Regrowth is soaring. Weather looks good for the coming week for the Bermuda harvest.

Good farmin to you.

Been using my 2400 for bush hogging, mowing lawn and a little loader work. One tie rod end started to unscrew from the steering cylinder but a couple of wrenches fixed that up real quick.

We had a very cool wet May so getting corn planted & 1st crop hay in around here was challenging. From April 25 to May 25 we had 9 inches of rain and only one time 3 consecutive days with out rain. I will take rain over draught any time though.

Here is hoping your Bermuda harvest goes well.

Busy here, too.

I have put 91 hours on my 3510i since I bought it last July.

No failures of any kind, other than one safety switch in the starter circuit that needed adjusting.

And the mount my seats mounts to just doesn't spring much, I'd like to change that.

Sounds to me like it's quiet because everybody's out working their tractors instead of talkin' about them. I just helped a neighbor put in a back yard moving 30yds of fill dirt and spreading it out using a box blade and back blade. Difficulty factor was raised by the very nice redwood 3 ft. retaining wall he built along the back side of the house along the walkway and "sunken patio". (hence the fill dirt) and the multitude of trees in the area. Really appreciated the turning radius on the Branson for that. Brought in and spread 130yds of gravel on our driveway. That covered about half the drive but that's all that needed it. Hauled and dumped with a dump trailer 5yds at a time (wishin' I hadn't sold my dump truck last winter) leveled and "smoothed" it with the Branson and a 7' land plane. Pretty impressed with the land plane, works much easier than a back blade or box scraper for that job. Dropped some trees two days ago, used the tractor to skid them up to an area we could buck and cut them up for firewood. Have time to be on here this morning as I need to go to town (40 miles) to pick up some fittings to put in a new water heater. Redecking my flatbed trailer and haulin' hay will be the next little job. Still need to finish (one post set) 600' of fence along my lower drive. The 3pt digger is sitting in the second dug hole just waiting. I find that is the easiest way to unhook one from the tractor if you don't have a stand built for it. It's now 730am so gotta get movin'.

Thanks. We are in our 2nd year of recovery from a 5 year drought here in N. TX. Totally agree you that wet is better.

I built a bracket to fit under the plate to which the seat is mounted and mounted 2 of these:

732-5182A by Troy-Bilt

If that doesn't transfer for you, they are used on some Cub Cadet and Troy mowers. Cub Cadet P/N is 732-05182A...just google search that number. I first noticed them going into a TSC one day. Was tired of the "valve spring" hard springs under most seats. Bought a set and now most every riding machine on the place has them installed except for air seats which I have in the 6530 as standard equipment and the 2400 (aftermarket i installed on this machine).

Agree on the "out working".

On the auger, I too work alone and they have been a problem. I had a spare 6" so I augered it into the ground with about a foot sticking out. I remove the auger on the digger when finished (1 bolt for me) and set the digger stem in it, then disconnect from the tractor. Works for me.

Some folks around here have old swing sets sitting around and hang then from there.

I don't like leaving an auger in the ground - if it rains, the hole fills in.

Not sure what the top of your auger looks like (hex? round?), but mine is the exact same size as 2-3/8" oil field drill stem.

A short piece of drill stem stuck in the ground is 100x cheaper than an auger!

Mines been busy cleaning up the property. Bought new discs, 96" land plane leveler, have a shop to put up, lots to do. I was just cruising eBay and there and there almost zero postings for Branson. Hope all is well.
