the use of abbreviations and acronyms

I think it would be nice if when one uses an abbreviations or acronyms, or pet names of machines, that one would put in parenthesis symbol ( the spelled out form) of the abbreviations and acronyms in the first line you use it in the text.

I find some times it takes a search or a long time to figure out what some one is talking about,

Or come up with a sticky with most of the abbreviations and acronyms so one could look them up easily.

Why not just say what you mean.
