Thanks! That is a good - and inexpensive suggestion! Another thought I had was to find a used semi trailer - nice long pieces of straight steel...or maybe a motor home? I will need 12' pieces of straight steel....

In times past Farmhand hay stackers were mounted on old truck frames.

Here, in NS, people use old truck frames with engine as log haulers out in the woods.
