hey, nice pics, sounds like you had a nice ride. Winter came a litle late, but at least it came so people can do some riding.

About that climbing; the government will never admit it but they've found a way to control gravity. Every time we get used to it, they ratchet it up another notch.

I figured it out about 15 years ago... oh yeah, that was also when they made the ground harder if I fell out of a tree.

Some really neat looking snow vehicles in this thread! I thought I'd share a picture of a sled that we used to ride around on in the early 1970's. My dad still owns one and it is excellent condition. They weren't very fast - maybe 30-35MPH.

some friends had one of those Bolens years ago. That was just one of many that didn't make it.

Alan I went out for a short ride today and there was about 4" of water on the pond. Ice is about 18" thick, but the water just makes for a wet ride. Put one slede away and holding off on the other until the last minute.

Here in the south it has been a poor year for snowmobiles. We didn't have any ground cover until the end of February so limited use of the sledes. We have a 35 acre pond so we did go out there a few times and ride around, but not much fun without good snow. There is always next year. Now we are into mud season and then black fly season.

We also enjoy the 4-wheelers, but getting harder to find places to ride. We have a place in northern New York, but the state has bought up lots of land and put most of it in non motor vehicle use. No 4-wheelers.
