The screens covering the vents for cooling

The screens covering the vents for air flow and cooling on my CK27 seem to plug up when I am blowing snow. The question is, what can I do to keep them open? Would 'fluid film' work in this case?
I have a cab on her so I am not really concerned with wind direction. Maybe I should be for this very reason?

I personally wouldn't worry about it. It's cold out, reducing the need for cooling air and if the engine gets too hot, it will melt.

When it's really cold, did you ever notice the big rigs with covers over the radiators? They don't wait for snow to plug it.

I had a 318 Detroit I had to do that with IF I wanted heat in the winter.

I quite often put a garbage bag over 89-90% of the air screen on my John Deere 4410 just so that the tractor warms up. The same with both my Dodge Cummins. They are both completely closed off with cardboard for the winter.

In the winter there is little if any dust in the air so I believe you could safely even do without them.
On some tractors even the air filters get removed due to snow ingestion clogging.

Just keep an eye on your temp gauge. If your cab is like mine, you will find that the cab heater is about all the cooling your tractor needs.(this time of year) I run with a piece of cardboard in front of the radiator, it has just two, 1 x 8 inch slits cut in it. Temp gauge never rises above the low side of normal. It gets cold here in Western NY, but nothing like where you are.....wouldn't worry about snow in the grill, but might suggest you partially cover the radiator....maybe with 90% less air being sucked in by the fan, the grills won't get plugged.
