My current 'BB' gun is a single shot .177 pellet gun.

1100 fps. Accurate and powerful.

When I first got it (~20 yrs ago) I was shooting a can off of a stump to test the sights. It was a med sized can. Pellet went right through both sides. So fast the can didn't even move, much less fall.

Another time I got a rabbit. I thought I missed, but it just slowly fell over a few seconds later.

I got this Crosman a few weeks ago. I put a scope on one of the picatinny rails.
Semi or full auto!

Wow, this thread really took a turn. Ya'll might want to read Post #1. It doesn't seem very respectful to be talking about guns, etc. when one of the lost ones was murdered with a gun.

I see no disrespect but agree regrettable timing
maybe refocus for a bit
think we are all still a little shocked.
And then we get shocked again.

I am grateful politics and religion stay out of here.
if that means some guns come in...well. Really up to the OP I think.

I got the BB machine gun for deer. They destroy everything I plant and when they see me snort...turn tail & run. That's when I pepper their behind & it just stings...no blood.

I bought two of them in the 80's. They ran on freon cans. One holds a QUART of BB's! The instructions says to fill a quart pitcher with BB's and two tablespoons of graphite powder and stir.

Funny story. The day I got it I took it to the airport to show the mechanic. We were in a large empty hanger, except for an old aux power unit in the corner. He told me to shoot the thing. So I did. We watched that golden stream leave across the hangar, hit the metal power unit, then come directly back at us! OW OW OW!!!! Spent some time sweeping BBs after that.

Dad had a Benjamin pump 177 pellet my brother got when Dad passed away…

Grandfather had a 177 dart air rifle that was charged by cocking the barrel… never seemed powerful and what about darts?

Used to be commonly available, many could shoot the darts or bb's or .177 pellets.

Mine is similar to that. Break action also 'pumps' the rifle.

It can shoot various types of .177, including the darts. I have no use for darts.

As for the deer...well 3 dogs averaging 90 lbs a piece tend to keep them away from the house and such.
