Louis Leakey actually helped Jane Goodall start her research in Africa. Louis died in 1972, and his wife, Mary passed in 1996.

I honestly believe you're misrepresenting her in your own mind per a couple of comments she made in her entire life that was taken way out of context by social media.

She never advocated for reducing the human population, but has addressed the issues of human population growth and it's affect on the environment, particularly the rain forests. Basic common sense really IMO.

Missing context. This misrepresents Goodall’s remarks and is not a real quote. While she did say many of the world's environmental problems would be relieved if the population was that of 500 years ago, she did not advocate for depopulation efforts.

Another World War would fix that problem. Or just eliminate India and China from the count. That's about 35% right there.

What might mean more in statistics is population density. The US is among the lower 10% so it's not us polluting the world.
