Wow. That one hits home, no pun intended. I remember going to watch him at Veterans Stadium, as his years with the Phillies pretty well aligned with when my parents were taking me to their games.

Pete Rose was our hometown hero, though I bet you saw him more than I did.
my father was not one to go to ball games, though just once he did take the three boys into NYC and we saw Mickey Mantle play. Yankees and Phillies were our teams.
Pete Rose hitting a homer was awesome.
and then it didn't end too well for him.
Yes he should be in Hall of Fame

I wonder when someone decides Yankees is no longer politically correct...
