This is phase 1 of the house that I am building for my wife. The area in phase one is 1875 sq ft.

If it's for your wife, where are you going to live? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

When you say Phase I, does this mean are you building a base house that can be added to over time? I have been trying to design a house that starts out fairly small, and can be added to and does not look like an add-on.

Do you have some sketches/plans of the final house design and each phase that you can share?

You're doing a great job!

higgy,

great looking progress.

Prior to seeing the pics, I was thinking about phase 2 as well. After seeing the pics, I think I know what it may be... maybe a hill??? That ground is flatter than my livingroom floor.

yes that is what I am doing. I have desinged the whole house around being able to expand with out looking like an add on. I have also made it so the construction can be closed off from the living area during the expansion.

PM me and we can talk plans.

I am amazed at the progress you have made in a short time. I'm glad I'm not on your crew, you must be keeping them on the job from dawn to dark!

When we finished the massive remodel/add on to our present house I sold the table saw, planer, nail gun, etc. because I do not intend to do all that ever again. I won't say "never" but I will say "I don't want to".

Congratulations, you have a fine crew and it looks like they are doing a marvelous job.

Thanks, I have a great family.

They think that I should work and get out from behind the camera, but what fun would that be???

Dane,

Its going ahead in leaps and bounds, looks great. Now I know why you have all those woodwork (Toys) tools.
You are a lucky guy to have a family that all chips in to help, look after that because it’s not easy to replace. Keep the pics coming as you progress it’s great to watch projects like this take shape. There is nothing more satisfying than doing things for yourself, savor the moment
