The outboard gearbox on a Bush Hog Squealer SQ84T

I recently ran across a 7 ft Bush Hog, but it was missing the outboard gearbox (part number 70702). I looked at several stores and they want $900 for a new one! I contacted Rotary Cutter Supply and they said they don't have a replacement gearbox for that cutter.

My questions:

1. Does anyone know where I can get a used one or replacement gearbox? For less than $500
2. Does the second gearbox have to "sync" with the input gearbox? Like getting one from Ag Supply or Ebay?

How much do they want for the BH?
Reason I ask is it might be cheaper in the long run to just buy a decent used unit.

But if I can't get the parts reasonably priced ....... new, used, or otherwised ....... why buy it?

I would pass. Too many things to match with a replacement gear box (unless buying exact P/N) ratio, direction of rotation, blade holder mount, blade holder height, mount hole pattern (gear box to deck), height of input to output of the other gearbox, size/type of input shaft for connecting cross drive shaft.
