It was criticized because most folks couldn't fell a Christmas tree within 90 degrees of where they want it to fall, let alone a real tree!! :laughing:

The only possible criticism is an observation that the circumstance of the cut is ideal. Getting the hinge just right did not require overcoming hardship.

I dropped a 92 ft maple today (measured)

It hit EXACTLY where it was meant to. And it was a leaner to begin with. Had to get it to turn about 30 degrees on the way down so branches would clear. Did that too.

Not so hard....even if I was sweating bullets ;-)
