Bald faced hornets (yellow jackets) are not an invasive species...they are native to N. America.....The bald face hornets we had seem like a minor nuisance compared to the above...
Almost never see one around here, and when I do, it dies from lead poison...BTW Just to reiterate.. domesticated cats are the absolute most harmful non-native, invasive predator species...
We don't have them here yet but the alarms are being put out there. They say the spotted lanternfly will first seek the Tree of Heaven then move to hardwoods, grapes, hops, fruit trees and roses.We have Lanterflies everywhere by the hundreds- killed some of our roses and other plants.
I spray them with insect soap, but there are just too many.

Riding our dirt bikes this time of year, we end up covered in them. After a couple of hours the goggles are a mess with all the sticky web material. Hate those.
