You said animal, so I absolutely vote WOLVES!!!

I lived around them for many years, so I saw them the way they REALLY are like, instead of what National Geo tells you they are like!!

Our ancestors got that one right, the first time!!

We have Red Wolf in only a small area of Eastern Texas along with heavy population of Coyotes accross the intire state. In my experience dogs do more damage to wildlife, livestock and poultry than both combined.

If songbirds and small rodents were as valuable to the hunting community as say whitetail deer...you would need a special permit to have a domestic cat as a pet...
Hands down...feral (once domestic) cats do more damage to native wildlife than any other non native, invasive species..including the pythons in The Everglades etc...

THE single most destructive animal the planet has ever known.

My compassion level seems to be getting lower as I get older. If its a bother its dead. Wife draws the line at her mother

Central Texas - Hard to put them in priority: Most are beneficial to some degree, but NOT around my house/yard

As of yesterday, I will move copperheads to the top. My hand was 6" from it's head before I saw it.

- Armadillo's - yes they eat grubs and other bugs, but very destructive to yard
- Gophers / Moles - same comment as Armadillos
- Chiggers, Fire Ants
- Hogs
- Wasps - only when they build nests in my truck engine / grill / on house
- Poison Ivy / Poison Oak - too much around here. If I touch poison oak, it's off to the care center for steroid pack.

I was reaching for a tomato in the garden yesterday when a garter snake moved right below my hand. Thankfully the only snakes around here are harmless garters.
We do have plenty of yellow jackets and a few years ago they decided to make a nest under my dog's house. He doesn't like them either. I did manage to destroy the nest and occupants without getting stung. I wonder if the multiple hummingbird feeders that my wife maintains may attract them as they frequent the feeders.
