On the liter side. While conducting a field lab in Texas for Bob White inthusiests,Dr Dale Rollins was pointing out how various plants benifit quail in one way or another. A man plucked a stem loaded with burs, held it in front of Dr Rollins and asked "How do these ^@#*%^ things benifit quail?" Dr Rollins took the plant, carfully examined it and replied "they slow the dogs down".
If everone's choice for eradication was granted earth would suffer immensely. If 75% of mankind were eliminated, the remaining 25% would profit immensely. I maintain that most if not all problems people experience can be traced to over population or lawyers.

There are two perspectives here; one is moral and one is legal. I personally believe that life begins at conception, and it is a progression until death. Therefore, in my mind, you are taking a human life when you abort a child; and the consequences are between you and your God.

On the other hand, under common law, a baby was not considered a person unless it was born "quick". There was a time not too long ago, that a pregnancy resulting in a living child was very iffy, and killing a child still in the womb was not the same as killing a living child. I believe there is some of that rational in the Roe v. Wade decision, and until it is overturned, abortion is legal, if not moral.
I believe you're missing the 3rd perspective...

That when a child is born to a set of parents who can't provide for the child in a family environment, and what happens to that child as they grow into an adult and the burden that can create for a society as a whole.

Keep in mind, I don't have all the answers ;)

If I had the power to erradicate all yellow jackets on the planet, I would sincerely like to think I'd use that power for more than just eradicating a species ;)

Please keep in mind, I wrote my initital post recovering from a good 5 or 6 stings where the animal wouldn't leave me alone even when retreating on the mower LOL

It's a valid question, but really irrelevant to the initial premise. ****** had an answer; euthanize the mentally and physically impaired, which he did, and this solution was also applied to racial and ethnic undesirables.
