More baling today. Finished up square baling at the same place. Today, we welcomed back the Canadian forrest fire. You can see the smokey haze obscuring the view.

I took a little time to replace my temporarily repaired fuel return line. Repaired fuel line removed in foreground.

And now back to stacking bales.

Tomorrow: Rake & bale a steep hillside God willing!

That is the 500 acre home, farm & estate of one of the DuPont family. . The owner just passed away at the ripe old age of 102.
The land I’m farming in the picture belongs to his nephew.

This is one of those "I haven't read the entire thread but" questions.

A few years ago I had an infestation of blister beetles on my potatoes. I was able to control them but while reading about them discovered that just a few dead beetles miixed in with hay can be toxic to horses. Is that something you have to be concerned with, or is it an unlikely event?

Got a third day without rain, but only 80* and smoke cover still here from Canada not helping dry hay.
First, I had to move the Magnum and the Krone off the farm I finished FDriday.

Once, I got to the next place, I was able to rake & bale 15 acres of steep ground.

With any luck, the rain will hold off one more day and I can bale more

Back in 1972 if mowed hay got wet not much you could do except dry it as best you could and then use it for bedding. Had to be really careful because hay with too much moisture in it would self-combust and burn the barn down. Here my Dad on the Farmall H is raking the hay to get it up off the ground; my Mom on the Ford 861 Powermaster was fluffing it even higher with the "tedder".

Thanks. I've never been there. It sure is nice looking with those open areas and rolling hills. Hopefully it still looks like that today.
