The potato chip guys were pretty slick when they did away with the see-through bags so you can't see that their only half full now.
Now they act like you are getting a deal when you buy "2 for $3.00" although with two bags you are getting the same amount of chips as one bag used to cost. I went into a store recently and bought a "twofer"... one plain and one barbequed. When I found out that they had to be the exact same item I said "no thanks" and put them back.

You want to buy a beer at a bar and the glass sizes have different names in different states and some have the same name but different sizes, makes it very confusing and you are not sure what size you are about to get.
Known as: Glass, Pony, Pot, Handle, Schooner, Middy and one I have missed, I'm sure Wagtail will fill in the missing bits.
Just buy a bottled beer and take it home.

Can't be as bad as getting a 2oz Orange Juice at Holiday Inn for twelve Bucks! I almost never buy a beverage anywhere, because it's such a bad deal. No preparation, just profit. If I am on the road, I might duck into a supermarket and grab a big (REAL) OJ jug, on sale! Take home what I don't drink. Call me cheap!

I started ordering bottles on the rare occasion I go out. No telling when the lines were last cleaned or how old the beer is with draft.

$12, that cost me $20 a couple of weeks ago with two slices of dry cold toast.
We take a box of muesli bars and tetra packs of OJ, just got caught out on this trip.

Dunno if you drink soda, but a lot of convenience stores have fountain drinks super cheap...even the 48oz "big glug" is not much more than a buck. Cheaper than a 2l bottle, and more portable.
Just taste it first...some stores (Cumberland Farms is a big offender) don't always replace the syrup in a timely fashion... :irked:

Does always amaze me the people who fill the cup full of ice first. To me it's always plenty cold right out of the machine.

I once met someone who worked in a bottling plant who said he always drinks draft, you wouldn't believe what goes into bottles! Pick your poison I guess.

A pet peeve for me is the bubble placed in the middle of toothpaste (and similar) tubes. I invariably end up blowing away a day's supply when the bubble gets to the top.

Most cereal boxes are now only about half full when you buy them. In a few more years, they will be empty and we will be eating cardboard for breakfast. At least we will be getting lots of fibre.

I'm glad I'm not raising kids. The price of cereal is astounding!!

Even bananas are getting in on the act. (They cost more too).

Apples (crab apples) and oranges (clementines) have been doing it for a while.

Is that the method were you tear a small hole in the centre and use that piece to clean your fingernail?

Icecream was the first one that really annoyed me. Lately it's been a half gallon of OJ, same size container that used to be 64oz is now 59oz I think. I didn't notice it until I opened a new jug that was no where near full. Just charge more for the same size.....oy.

Not only that, but they fill it with air when they churn it, so you only get half a container by weight even if you get a full container by volume...

The ice cream I was buying was 64oz is now 48oz.
Haagen-Dazs went from 16oz to 14oz.
B&J's is still 16, as is Three Twins (Chocolate Orange Confetti is my current favorite).

Milk is still in 1/2 & 1 (real) gallon for now...

Or caulking.

When possible I buy products from the bulk section of stores. Prices are easy to determine because everything is sold by the lb.. My favorite store for buying in bulk is WINCO.
