Just opened the office curtain to find three hummers hovering around the feeder and the thing almost half empty! I filled 'em up a week or so ago and they've been sitting pretty much untouched until now, so either the birds are back or the word is a little slow getting out. Either way, it's nice to hear the buzzing and tittering again as the Anna's flit about the property :cool2:

They're already fighting over the feeders, and I couldn't get more than one in a frame...

For 18 out of 20 yrs. they've showed up at my place within 2 days either way of the 16th of April the other 2 yrs. it was within 10 days.

More have been showing up over the last week, and this morning we had a full house, with more waiting in the wings.

Spring is here in the North State!

They don't usually show up here until the second week in May. This year they would be smart to wait until June at least!
