My definition of luxury item is something you don't need. Artwork is a luxury. A microwave is not.
In my original post I said luxury item wasn’t the correct word but I didn’t know a better word. I guess I meant an item you don’t absolutely need to live but it sure makes your life better.

Well, this is funny.... but true. I've always said that food, clothing and shelter are all you need and everything else is icing on the cake.

In Chapter 7 bankruptcy, a luxury item is anything not reasonably necessary for the support and maintenance of the debtor and their dependents, such as expensive jewelry, luxury cars, vacations, and high-end electronics. The key distinction is between necessities (like basic groceries, a primary vehicle, or a necessary medical procedure) and extravagances (like a second home, designer clothing, or cosmetic surgery). Luxury items are often considered non-exempt assets that a trustee can sell to pay creditors.

Start crinkling the page when yiu sit down, get it softened up. Been there, done that
Oooo, the Sears Wish Book at Christmas would make lousy TP.... it was all glossy print.

I've been in a few outhouses that had phonebooks on a hook. At least that wouldn't be like a brillo pad.
