After years of agonizing and “making due”, I finally pulled the trigger on a ck3510se. We have around 20 acres in Western PA. Primary tractor duties are mowing 5-6 acres of horse pasture and around the edges of the hay field. Also got a third function with grapple to clean up continually dying Ash trees.

Driveway plowing is done with a RTV equipped with a plow. I’ll bring a CTL home from work if there is heavy dirt work to be done.

An the answer to my personal conundrum was.....

R1 set wide

The tractor will never be on my lawn. I want maximum traction. Got my old Deere 4400 hung up a couple times with R4s. Also slid on a couple hills. Not for me.

Congratulations on the new tractor!

Let us know how you like the handling with the R1s set wide, especially on hills. I believe the R1s raise the tractor's center of gravity/mass about two inches higher than R4s, and about 4 inches higher than R3s. Setting the R1s wide should compensate a bit. BTW, when you have a chance to measure and don't mind, I'd be interested in knowing the overall width at the rear, outer sidewall to outer sidewall, with the wide set. I think the specs on the Kioti website give width with R1s set normally.

I’ll measure, my dealer told me 66”
