The day the music died.

Didn't go in for some of the rock back in the 60s, but did hit a couple Beach Boys concerts... Loud but good. Was more into folk and folk rock and we're losing those stars now too. Only Paul remains of Peter, Paul and Mary. Pete Seeger and almost all the guys in the Kingston Trio and Limeliters have passed. Bob Dylan and Joan Baez are still around, but not doing much. Of course I'm over 80 so I guess most of the musicians I listened to back then are fading fast. I sure am.

Willie still is going strong though!

Or should I just say "Willie is still going"...

He's doing better than I expect to at his age... he's still breathing!

Speaking of the Kingston Trio, here's one for you.

My youngest sister was a HUGE fan back in his heyday, she would have been 12 or 13 at the time. A few years later when she was in college she dug out some of his old 45s, after a listen or two threw them away. :ROFLMAO:
My older sister was big into him back then.
I just sent her my condolences... gotta stir the pot once in a while!

I only remember one of Bobby Sherman's songs. I was already out of high school and caught up in the Beatles and Rolling Stone's music.

I had to sit through Friday night's "The Bobby Sherman Show", which was a spinoff from "The Partridge Family."

Don’t forget “Here Come the Brides” loosely based on Seattle Mercer girls…

Whenever people talk about classic TV, they forget how much absolute crap dominated our screens, most of the week. Sure, I Love Lucy, All in the Family, MASH, Newhart, and Cheers were great. But for every one of them, there were 20 or 50 Bobby Sherman's and Partridge Families.

One great show per decade does not make a "golden era". :p
