I've got a couple dump loads of driveway gravel to spread in the next month or so, but I need to clear out and prep the area first. Let's hope it cools off some, I'm not going out there in 94 degree heat and 95% humidity!

Glad you all are getting a share of our usual summer weather! Being a Yankee, suffering through southern summers really wears me down, and I look forward to the other 9 months of the year. But I remember when growing up in New England, those heat waves were unbearable because nobody had AC.

Exactly, what's the point of putting in an A/C for a week or maybe 2? It's hard to justify. This time of year the heat during the day is nasty but it drops to the 60's at night - the time we're in the house. I think we get maybe get 7 total nights per year that are just awful to try to sleep. Other folks who are at home during the day (hope to be one of them as soon as I can retire, likely still won't be indoors though LOL) it makes sense to get an A/C.

Maybe I should have got the cab model with A/C.......

33 yards per load? That's a **** of a dumptruck!

Wouldn't that be around 50 tons of gravel? Are there road-going dump trucks that will haul that?

I have a 21 foot long box on the truck and a 17 footer on the pony. Truck is legal for 36,000 KG gross here (just about 80,000 pounds) and 63,500KG (140,000 pounds) truck and pony.

Where I am loading is 10 minutes from my house.....so I'm putting some good loads on, LOL.

I built an 8 foot high x 75 foot long retaining wall out of boulders and backfilled 700 yds. of gravel and loam with my B2630. Amazing machine.

It took a while, but the machine is plenty capable.
