The 2040 with new decals, and some "new" toys

Man it makes a difference with them installed!! I got my used IM600 mower painted up too! Also some pics of some old implements I picked up this weekend from back home too- a 105 Ford tiller, an old 1 row planter, and some heavy row disks! Those last 3 were free, hard to beat that!

The Deere, she's a beauty!!

And for the mower deck, I replaced the long steel straps that run between the tower and the rear of the mower deck with chains. That makes adjusting the mowing height much much easier and takes a lot of compression stress off the tower when the rear wheel traverses a raise in the ground.

Thanks Beenthere! I'll keep that in mind on the mower too, good idea. My only issue with it so far is when I hit a hidden stump it knocked the blades into the deck and put a ring shaped dent in it. I'm surprised to see that, I figured it would just shear the pin. There is just a little play where the blades bolt on, nothing excessive though. I know, just don't hit stumps lol!

What year is the 2040? My father in-law has a 1983 2040. I think I'll share your pictures with him and suggest he spend a little time and money to beautify it. Looks great.
