Okay, this is the beginning of the end! I pulled all of the seats and carpet out to prepare for installing a new floor and all new upholstery. Here is the little TC helping get the fuel tank out.

It looks bad now...., actually for 20 years old, I'm suprised there is not any more dry rot. All of this will be cut out and repleced with new wood and it will all be glassed in.

That's it for now. If the rain ever stops I can continue on cutting more flooring out and preparing for new stuff. Until then, the boss can stand guard.

Fast forward, new stringers, floor, seats are in. As a preventative measure, I replaced the fuel pumps and rebuilt the carbs. At the lake yesterday, she ran great! I was by myself and was able to get 45 mph @ 5000rpm. I am really happy how well things have turned out. I was able to get the oxidized gel coat rubbed out and waxed back to a nice gloss. I still have some trim panels and teak trim to re-install, but otherwise the hard work is done!

Eddie, I had close to $1000.00 in the repairs,etc. Most of the cost was associated with the new seating and the fiberglassing materials. For not taking on a project like this before, I thought things turned out well.
