Just a note to say thank you to all our customers, and FRIENDS!!!!!
With your input, we have been able to design improved
versions of our tiltmeters for tractors. And, I have made alot
of new friends, and that is PRICELESS. I have also learned
alot. If I EVER may be of service, Please let me know. I would
like to name a bunch of you that have been help, and kind
in your words, but I am afraid I would leave someone out.
YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE !!!!! May God Bless You All, and
we hope the coming year is safe and prosperous for you all.

Rick - Very, very well said. In case you hadn't noticed, you're pretty well regarded by all your customers, too.

It goes without saying , but your a class act. Thanks for the fine products that you produce and also for having the guts to listen to the customer when he gives you not only good but bad input.

Merry Christmas
Gordon

You've got a bunch o' friends here on TBN, Rick. In fact, many of us take little reminders of you with us every time we go out on our tractors. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Happy holidays to you and yours. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Rick, thanks for the holiday wishes!
As I hope to be safer next year, I would like to know what type of tiltmeter I should get for my JD4100.
I have a FEL, mid-mount mower [much more stable with this thing hanging low!], rear blade, and 4ft rough mower.
I am mostly concerned with roll-over when using the loader or mowing. [I only scrape flat roads with the blade] ;)
I checked out your web site, but am not sure which model I would need. Also, what mounting locations should I use? [the 4100 has a ROPS]. Thanks to you and everyone on the board for the advice!

Hi Forestcreature,
I would recommend the model #25C mounted on hood or dash.
Dash mount would require the new style bracket. You must specify it when ordering.
You might ask some of the tbn members where they mounted theirs and why they chose that location. The model #7489C would also work. Thanks for your interest in our products.

Forestcreature, I started with the 7489C for side to side tilt, then later got a 25C for the side to side tilt and moved the 7489C to a new location for front to rear tilt. I have mine mounted to the frame under the canopy. At any rate, I agree with Rick that the 25C would probably be your first choice because, if you're like me, you aren't going to get on any slopes steep enough to use the full range on the 7489C./w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

I have a 4100 and mounted the 25C on the hood with the old style mount. Had to drill holes into the hole. Boy, I really hated to do that. When I purchased my tiltmeter, the new style mount was not available.

So, go with the new style mount and you have a couple of options unless you leave your FEL on at all times. With the newer mount, you can either put the meter on the hood or on the top side of the dash. The problem with the dash mount is that it is up to close and you may ignore it. Also, it could possibly interfere when steering. Can't remember which TBNer mounted the tiltmeter to his FEL mount post, but it is an option.

My personal recommendation, 25C with new mount, right in the middle of the hood.

Good luck.

Thanks guys!

Just got off the phone with Rick & Brenda, ordered the 25C for the side tilt, and the 7489 for the front/rear angle.
[took the advice to get the new mounts too]. I will keep you posted on my install :)
