I wanted to write a quick note to thank all who posted useful information to this site. I am moving from a lawn tractor to a CUT and really benefited from this forum.

I was also able to get the 2210, 62C, FEL, & BB for 2,000.00 cheaper than my local dealership by shopping all JD dealers in Florida and having a good understanding of price. I paid 12,695 + tax. This is a good price for SW Fl. where we have no slow season, temps at 84 degrees today.

I was able to find all the info I needed without posting a question, that is a sign of a USEFUL discussion group.

Thanks for all the help.

PS. I put my wife on the tractor at the dealership and had a hard time getting her off of it! The salesman sure loved that.

I may be looking at the 2210. What's the 62C?

Congrats on the new tractor!!
That is a good price. I got mine in June 03 and was a little more than that.
Good luck and happy tractoring!!

Ralph,
62C is the Mid Mount Mower (MMM), 62" cut, C stands for convertible.

Congratulations on the new Tractor - My "Wife to be" was really excited about us getting a tractor as well - it sure makes the whole thing a lot easier when everyone is behind it, or should I say itching to drive it. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Take Care,

Good luck with the new 2210 - you'll love it!

I've got the wife trained to mow using the 335/54 but she will have no part of my 2210, especially with FEL - "too many levels and knobs" she says. I tell her she's just as difficult to figure out as the tractor, so I guess we're even!

The good news is, my son isn't tall enough yet to reach the 2210 pedals, so I get the "big JD" all to myself. Son's growing fast though so next year I'll probably lose my seat time on the 2210, too!

Congrats, FLDeere. Guess you won't need a block heater down there near the Okefenokee, but you might ask the dealer to weld a couple 3/8" chain grab hooks on the bucket before its delivered. It's a lot easier to have it done now.

Good luck! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Congratulations on your new tractor! I'm sure you'll have no trouble coming up with "chores" to do on it even though you won't have snow to move...
