2018 RK24
Good Afternoon,
I have just purchased a 2018 RK24 Loader and Backhoe two weeks ago! Seems to be Great little machine. I have only aprx. 11 hours on the FEL moving mostly gravel for a driveway for winter time maintenance. I do have a few questions about the auto throttle on the RK in which the operator's manual does not cover? Question will I still run the BOH in auto throttle like I do in running the FEL or will I need too increase manually the engine RPM's? Thanks

Not sure what you mean by BOH, but if you are talking about using the backhoe, you need enough rpm’s to give you plenty of hydraulic flow. Not enough flow= slow. If you have never used a backhoe, I recommend setting the rpm’s low and get used to the controls. Then you can raise them and use all the power. Take your time when using the backhoe. Things can break fast. Check the subframe bolts often. They tend to come loose. May want to put some thread lock on them. Also check loader frame bolts. They work loose too.

Thanks for the information! I will be sure to keep a check on all the Bolts. I was told that the RK tractor has a low hydraulic pressure sensor that when the backhoe pressure sensor reads low flow the sensor will send a signal too the governor and the governor will increase RPM in order to keep hydraulic pressure to the Backhoe? Thanks for the info!!
