Anyone else sick of all the Scott Peterson coverage? What happened to that pregnant woman was tragic, but is it national news? It had been getting the same exposure as Iraq & other world/national events.

In my mind this was hyped by the tabloids & popular press to the point that all the networks, including cable/satelite, started covering it. Media generated news. - - wonder what they will hype next? I'm just glad this episode is over.

Same here but It ain't over. There will be years of appeals as teh defense will never give up.

It is kind of national news, in that it happens everywhere all the time but without all the hype. That is the sad part; what about all the others?

Makes a strong argument for a fund of surviving victims families with networks and other media being contributors.

They'll mull over the conviction until the sentencing hearing begins. Then we'll be subjected to that, followed by second-guessing. Michael Jackson shouldn't be too long down the pike and give the bobbing heads more grist for the mill!

One thing that I have wondered about for a long time is:

His wife and unborn child were killed, i.e., two murders.

A lady can go to an abortion clinic and have a partial birth abortion and the killing of the unborn child is legal.

Something is definitely wrong with this picture.

I have never understood this and probably never will.

Abortion, politics, religion - - I agree, let's don't go there. My post was a simple whine that I did not believe the case deserved the attention it was getting. Obviously, the news organizations thought otherwise, lest we could have been spared report after report on a murder in a distant state. If it had been local, I can see why the local stations/papers would have given it top billing - - - but ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox, CNN??

Sometimes a crime is deserving of national exposure - - such as the Washington sniper, or any serial killer. But not the Scott Peterson case.

Just my opinion.
