You can move the cage if you get a tarp or blanket and walk to the trap (holding tarp in front of you spread out) and lay it over it, then carry it off. I've done
this a bunch of times and have never had one "spray".

Remove the tarp the same way and "do what you got to do".

I only set my traps when I know I can check them the following morning, the quicker the better.

Well, It wasn't fun, but I can "Skunk Works Problem Solver" to my resume.

My wife said no more trapping...She's the one who heard some type of noise that sounded like a varmint in a wall or something and wanted me to do something about it.

There seems to be too many skunks around here. I'm always seeing them road killed on the highway and our little county road. Plus, it is quite often we smell them and they do carry rabies.

Around September 18 it rained about 1.5 inches. Should have had a lot of runoff but almost all of it soaked in. What grass I have did green up. I've been digging out the sand from my ponds. Moved quite a bit from this pond and I'm going to try to move more.

I appreciate the "pullin and praying". However, after raining ALL around us again, we only got .02" of rain.

But my wife's uncle says we got a inch and a half of lightning.

Back to watering the yard here, bummer.

Saw this skinny Grey fox going after the cat that someone dumped off at our house. ( mentioned way back in this thread) well it had 2 kittens, wild as snot too.

Fox ran them up into the trees, then went to eating bird feed under our bird feeder. Seems every critter is struggling to live with this drought, and it is supposed to go through the winter now they are saying, Fire danger extreme.

Photos a little blurry, fellow wouldn't sit still.

Today it will be 102ｺ. That will make 90 days 100ｺ or over.

I finally found the ｺ on the keyboard (alt/option and zero).

When I type it, it is only a little 0 (degrees) but when the post comes out it has added junk??????

Once you 'Submit' your post, you can edit it to remove the junk as I've done to your quote above. TBN didn't used to add the junk, but I've just taken to writing out "degrees" rather than take the extra editing step.

BTW: If you hold down the ALT key and type "0186" or "0176" with the keypad, you can get degree symbols also. I prefer the looks of Alt+0186. You have to use the KEYPAD only. Using the numbers on the top row of the keyboard will not work. Here are examples Alt+0186 is º and Alt+0176 is °. The difference is very slight, but the 0186 is larger.

I was recalling that TXDon was using a MAC. I don't think the symbols work
quite like that on a MAC?
If you use a text app to write the message and check the spelling before copying it to the TBN message box it really makes a mess of words with ('s) and such. The spell checker that TBN wants everyone to download and use
causes problems with W-7. In Windows the easy way is to go to "System Tools- Character Map" see attached for all the ocassional used umlaut's and special text.

That could be. He said he used the "alt/option" key and if my keyboard has "option" anywhere I haven't found it.:laughing: But Jim's method worked.

Yep, on the Mac, the generation of the symbol characters may be different that the Alt key combinations of the PC. However, using TBN edit to remove the junk characters is common ground for both.

EDIT:...and since I've wondered off totally away from the thread's title. . . there is a PC application called "Character Map" that you may be able to reach if you are interested in all the extended character sets. Click the "start" button in the lower left of the screen and then choose "Run" from the dropdown menu. A dialog box will appear. Type in "charmap" and hit enter. The Character Map application should open and display all the characters for the selected default font. You can select any Windows font to see the characters. If you select one of the characters, you can copy it into your text or in the lower right bordere of the window, it will show the Alt key combination to produce the symbol. I know this works with Windows XP, but I'm not sure about Windows 7. It's probably there but may not be available from the Run dialog box.
