Texas Fall/Winter thread!

I don’t care for the traditional turkey and dressing. We usually do have it. Last year it was enchiladas.

Love turkey and dressing but this year I may go to HEB and get a couple of their Prime 1 ribeyes.

Easiest way I know to enjoy a great steak at home.

I’ll start brining our turkey in the morning. Then, make a pumpkin pie and a chocolate pie. Chocolate pie is my Grand Daughter’s favorite.

We “stuff” our turkey with quartered apples, onions, rosemary, sage leafs, and other aromatics. The stuffing gets baked separately.

Top it all off with mashed potatoes, giblet gravy, and steamed fresh green beans.

Semi relaxing. Luke worked til 3, so we will eat about 5. I have made the most of the day reclining in the recliner while cooking all day, instead of just cooking it all in half a day!

Our sheriff just posted an update. They found the shooter's vehicle near Hempstead in Waller County.

Headed to Houston to try and get lost in the jungle.

I had hopes for a lot more, but it did not happen this time.

We got a good inch to inch and a half. It's still darn cold out. Have the wood burning stove going to keep the edge off of the cold.

I was in Brownsville on Tuesday and it was 89 degrees.
