Anyone know anything or have opinions about Livingston, Texas? Looking at a house there.
Livingston is still a full-timers location. Escapees RV Club is located there.I've only passed through there, except for going fishing at Lake Livingston once, and even that was more than 40 years ago, but I do think that's a place I'd like to live. When we were full time RVers, we used a mail forwarding service in Arlington, but Livingston has one or more RV parks for full timers to use as a home address and mail forwarding service. I know that used to be very popular; one reason being no property tax on your RV with that address. Of course I'm sure much has changed there as with any place else, but I still think Livingston would be a good place to live.

Thanks for the info. We have two in Livingston, and two in Wharton we are interested in. Long way apart, but all have acreage, and space for the horses. Still held up on waiting on a buyer on our current house. Keep your fingers crossed!Livingston is a nice town. Go West to the lake. Go East to the Alabama Coushatta Indian Reservation and East Texas' Piney Woods. Logging is big ALL around there. The Alabama Coushatta are trying to open a casino.
