And when the mud settled the horse just stood there looking at you!!!

Yeah I got back on and went better second round. I guess it was just a way for us to get to know one another. He was probably thinking your suppose put the saddle on first idiot. He hadn't had anyone on him in a few years,so don't blame him to much for giving me a hard time.

Warm weather grasses ready to kickoff.

I mowed my yard twice in January this year and 3 times in February, but haven't mowed since February 21 because it's staying too wet. We've not had a lot of rain, but such frequent rain, mist, overcast, snow, etc. So right now, the grass in my yard is taller than it's been in the last 9 years at least. When it gets dry enough, I've got to mow and I'll have to use the bagger this time.

Putting down 96lbs of 13-13-13 on the yard tomorrow. A few handfuls around shrubs. That should get it going, counting on rain tue/wed to water it in. Oh, daffodils are blooming now. HS

While taking a break from building gates (& fences) to keep my year old Heeler crossbred in, I got to play with Tucker. Tucker is my friend's new cute, little, lovable puppy. 3-15-15 Tucker On Patrol.jpg3-15-15 Brandi Holding Tucker.jpg

I ordered 25 Mallard ducklings, last Friday, from Ideal Hatchery in Cameron, Texas. They were shipped late yesterday via US Postal and the post office called at 8:30 this morning telling me to come pick them up. These 25 guys & girls were in a cardboard box about 12 inches square. They were packed in tight to generate heat. All 25 are doing well. I got two crested ducklings. Crested ducks are rare (I'm told). I always thought they were from cross breeding, which I don't want. I only want to raise Mallards, as that is all Dad raised. But I was informed last week they are not crossbreds. Just God wanting some to stand out and "strut their stuff".
Since they are rare, they will fetch a premium price! 3-17-15 Mallard Ducklings.jpg

Let us know how that works out for you Brandi. I've been to that website looking at guineas and laying hens, I just haven't pulled the trigger.

Oh yeah............it's a 1992 Caterpillar E70B. She has 24 inch "swamp" tracks, a 54hp Mitsubishi engine and weighs 15,200 pounds. Cat bought out Mitsubishi in the late 80s or 1990 and put Caterpillar on the Mit and walaa.................a midi Cat.

I have to admit, it wasn't until the 2nd picture that I realized you weren't talking about a barn cat. :)
Looks like fun.

It only took me till the third picture. I thought Tucker ate it with that smile. Bet my cat can get a gopher with less yard damage than your cat.:D

Jim,
You are so right. The trailer is just under gross weight for the axles..............and that is with 2000 pounds riding on the hitch!
I pulled it home about 45 miles on Houston's Loop 610 East and the Hardy Toll Road into Montgomery County. On Loop 610.............I didn't wanna go over 50 mph. The Toll road I got up to 60 mph. The Cat rode well and the trailer was solid, but the truck is too lite and the uneven bumpy roadway was beating me and the truck up. I don't even like pulling empty trailers on Loop 610 East. That side of the loop is all trucking and heavy equipment.................and the loop shows all that heavy wear, well.

Don and Kyle,
LOL...............Friday night it, I parked it where the dog and I photo was taken. Saturday morning I told Luke (who is a cat lover) that a cat was in the driveway. He went to look out the window, when he snapped to what I meant. Cat puns are a fun.
Don,
Funny you should mention about the gopher. I kill more snakes and turtles in the gully, from the seat of the Big RED Beast. Something about the vibrations brings them out to see what is shaking, I guess. I'm sure the Cat will bring them out also.

Nice. I see a new storage building in the future. :D
Every good farmer knows you can never have enough sheds. The other side of the barn has a 30 foot long shed, but I keep my 29 foot gooseneck parked there. I have wanted to add on the Cat side of the barn, but haven't. Originally, that area was suppose to be horse stalls. Oh well, I guess a Cat in the stable is just fine with me. God's purpose for you in life doesn't always go the way you think it should.

A co worker is making up decals for me to put on it. On the back with me...............In God We Trust. On the door will have................Chloe's. For my Grand daughter!
When are Y'all headed south?
