I had to buy a new computer and haven't yet, taken email addresses out of the old one. Please send me an email or PM, if you want me to have your address.

Blue Belle (She answers to Puppy Dog Belle) is doing well outside. She is on the cable run when it is daylight and I am not outside and she is loose when I am outside.

She follows the Big RED Beast and I a little too close though. She is in the kennel on the covered deck at night.

So far, she is good and does not bark too often. I want her to bark if someone comes up, yet not at squirrels. The kitchen broom is helping me train her when not to bark.

She found the pond and loves romping in chest deep water, which is new (and fun to watch) to me as Booger would not go nearer than a drink out of the ponds.

She is digging around trees near her cable run when she gets wrapped around that tree. Any ideas how to get her to stop digging. Booger only dug in soil disturbed by the tractor to get cooler.

My crew and I work Sunday night. First of the three Sundays to work for extended holiday nights off. EeeeOrrr.
hugs, Brandi

Maybe next time I visit Rebecca in Manor, some of us could meet and eat at the Roadhouse in Paige. It's about a half hour drive from Rebecca's house.

Brandi; If the pup is digging, she is bored. Maybe you can do more entertaining and training tricks with her. She is, after all, a high energy breed, and needs a job and lots of coaching along the way. Too many hours of no human interaction, or work to do, and she will create her own diversions, such as digging and barking.

And please tell me you would not use a broom on a critter.

I think around here, it is called "Logan's Roadhouse". I've been into one maybe twice. Was not impressed either time, by atmosphere, or the food.

Brandi --- we lost our big black Forrest to a school bus a few weeks ago. We just got a rescue from the county...they say it's a lab mix...but every time I look at his face I'm thinking pitbull.....(I have a real prejudice against pits) He's not a year old, seems to be housebroken, very quiet and well behaved and trained well to the leash....He was definitely an inside dog...and may be again......and that from a guy who absolutely believes houses are for people - barns are for animals----but this guy is so well behaved I just might be persuaded. He follows me around outside - stays away from the tractor - but is at home in the shop -- we've kept him in at night and there's been no mess or bother. Lock him in the laundry room and he just settles in for the night without a peep out of him. Open the door for him in the a.m. - he does his thing then comes in and lays down at my feet under the table while I have my coffee. He did climb into my chair this a.m. though and made himself at home there....will have to fix that. Really miss Forrest -- he was the best dog I've ever owned -- but this Cocoa might be a good replacement. (cocoa brown with 1 white foot and white chest blaze)

FG,
I taught Booger that when I had the broom, it meant not to bark. When he would go after the ducklings, all I had to do is bring out the broom in the barn and he backed off. To me, it's more humane that a shock collar.

Booger had a learning curve not getting his cable wrapped around a tree. This is when (and where) Belle is doing the digging. I take the broom out to use as a cable guide (instead of my hand) while unwrapping her. Working great so far.

She has been playing with Brady's weiner dog, Toodee, and both wear themselves out. She loves prancing in the water and I encourage her. Sure is different shaking a wet paw!
hugs,Brandi

Fall is here this morning......*43 and clears skies. They say close to freezing in the morning. The trees here in East Texas are just starting to show some color, so we're hoping for a beautiful landscape over the next couple of weeks.

So, you plan to look like a local at the Paige Texas Road House. Don't forget to work on that Texas Slang twang.

Foreman, Looking good. Good luck on Grand Opening Day, is there going to be a ribbon cutting?

Wow, you have a lot of distractions on your opening day - 1st day of deer season and a local VFD BBQ. Hopefully people will be out and about and notice that you are now open for business!! You do have a big NOW OPEN sign on your street sign don't you?

Kind of late but, sorry about your dog Mikim. He was a gentle big guy. Hope your new dog fits in.

Foreman, best wishes.

Ron, I have enough twang to cover all of "y'all". Remember to drop the "youz guys" from your vacabulary at the OK-TX border. :)

I went snow skiing with a buddy from Colorado once. He told me if I said "y'all" one time, he was going to ski away and leave me in his dust. :)

You know we could make anything happen,it's just what it would cost to get their.
Saturday went great,we didn't advertise(txdon we did have open sign out by highway) just word of mouth(and the Gals started Facebook page)right now until everything gets here for the boutique(that's my wife and her partners thing). I did find out that CONSUELA bags, have a price tag that has $$$.$$ I have a lot to learn on that part. But I like the feed side, talked to a lot nice people, they talk I listened and stored the knowledge, some good conversations.
