I'm a little disappointed, I was looking forward to temps in the 50s this morning but it's just 61˚. I guess the lower temperatures are in the valleys and not near 15,000 pavers that soaked up the sun yesterday.

txdon-- Sure blame global warming on pavers.

Does this mean the pavers will knock out the carbon credits of my woods I would have received?:D

Now you need to coat your pavers with a clear UV reflective sunblock. :) Get the kind where oil stains can be wiped up.

63 here, but still feels good. Nice and dry. Good day to work outside.

I don't know about the rest of you.. but I feel like Mr. Rogers,, "such a beautiful day in my neighborhood",, but sung more to the tune of "home on the range",, so it will sound Texan.:). Lou

Mike, I saw your back hoe woe thread in the hydraulics section. Let us know if it is one bad cylinder - that would be my first bet. Do you repair those with a kit or replace them?

Don,
Usually the OEM has a kit. They are pricey. I bought a kit for my leaking swing cylinder for around $80. I rebuild the same size cylinder on my offset disc for $9. The difference being I took the disc cylinder o rings to a hydraulic shop and they replaced them by sight. The guy didn't even need to look anything up.

I always find it interesting how the temp raises about a couple of degrees when I get real close to the interstate. Going thru downtown H town raises it a few degrees more. All the grass and open space at Hobby Airport lowers the temp down 3-4 degrees from I-45. But my place is always about 7-9 degrees lower than Hobby's temp.

So you might be right about your pavers soaking up the heat.

Don ....repair or replace???? I'm so far out of my element on this ...neighbor just asked if it couldn't be a valve stuck open? ...hadn't even occurred to me.

Started to thunder with lots of lightning about 0500 then in about 15 min it started to pour. On the radar this looks like a pretty good storm. No rain totals yet.

Rain gauge has 1/2 in in it. The first line of storms has passed, and the second line is NE of Sulphur Springs. Hope it makes it to us.

enjoy your rain -- none here for the week ...70 right now headed to 90 and a repeat all week. They have 20% thrown in there on a couple of days but that's just a CYA forecast. I used to always give my guys a hard time for even putting that in their foreguessing.

Charlie, when you get tired of your rain, send some down to Colorado County.

We were just on the outer edge of the thunderstorms that went through, so we got about .14" of rain. Of course we're grateful for that. Yesterday morning was cool and dry; perfect weather for me to get the yard mowed. So we're glad it got watered a bit this morning.

I was woke up this morning, around 11am, to severe thunder. Then 5/8ths of an inch of rain hit us.

We had a bad storm this morning in Mabank that dropped 2.5" of rain on us. All of the neighboring cities got a little over a half.
