And it's here. Temps dropped from 74 to 54. Rain, glorious rain, and some winds.
Right. At the moment, the NWS says "light freezing rain" so I guess that's right. What I'm getting is tiny ice particles; too small to call sleet. And it's really coming down right now, although so far it's only about a quarter inch deep in my rain gauge.
Well, it really started coming down here with sleet balls about 1/8" to 1/4" diameter. It was thundering like a thunderstorm, so I guess we could call it "thunder-sleet." It was pouring down like rain, but frozen solid. Now, it alternates heavy snowflakes and lighter flakes, but at a steady rate. Everything is turning white. I'll not be running around outside in my t-shirt anytime today..![]()
Rick, looking at the radar, it seems the heaviest precip is north of Waco. I have my doubts as to whether you will see much measurable rain in your area.
Please don't shoot me been sliced on enough recently. One more storm on horizon for east coast that is on the board now. Haven't looked at Texas though but any long lasting warm ups yet. We are supposed to get up to eight inches tomorrow north of here maybe 16in or more
FG,I'm already a "frigid biotch" today! And I am sick of winter!!!! :grumpy:
It's more like.........."Hold short by the heater.":thumbsup:I guess you will have to "taxi into position and hold"![]()
