Had cow have twins today lost one to da** black headed buzzards. I hate these aggressive black birds, at least are typical buzzards usually wait until something has past already...

I lost a five day old calf to the neighbors pittbull ... he won't do that again!!

One cow had twins and thats rough on a cow. Pulls her down quick ... I weaned the smaller one as soon as I could that way I only have one dink instead of 2 !!!

They are not our typical redheaded buzzards they are the black headed ones from Mexico(so I hear),that are way more aggressive. They will get the mother cows so stressed at birth trying to fight them off,they get down and those birds will get the eyes and tongue of the calf before even out. It's a on going deal with them,that is the #1 culprit of calfs loss around here.

Ok, Now I got it. Turkey Buzzard and Black Vulture. I'll keep a watch for those black heads now, thanks for the heads up!

Stinky birds. I'm having an ongoing war with a water turkey. I know I can't kill him, but I sure can scare it. Also, my woodpecker is back.

Yep, for some reason they (buzzards) are federally protected and have been for a long time. You can get a federal permit to eradicate them but, I understand not easy to acquire.
