Don't know the attraction .. I can find it even in a drought!!

Also the last couple days I burned a few rods and spattered some paint

BR-- Good looking "Sure nuff" Hay equipment.

Nice and warm here yesterday 75*. Suppose to be even warmer today, but with lots of wind.

My-oh-my, what a warm day. We started below freezing and ended up near 80 F. It is so warm that we had to close our upstairs door because our fireplace is reverse flowing and stinking up the house.:p

My neighbor called to see if we had a fire because there was smoke in the woods. I suspect somebody burning cleared brush, but don't know for sure.

My wife and I took a Mule ride this afternoon and saw thousands of deer tracks. I think the does are coming early and the big bucks are coming late at night. There are small, medium, and huge tracks everywhere.

Yep, 31 to 80 degrees is quite a spread. And I finished the scalping, dethatching, fertilizing, and watering the yard; took a day and a half, filled 12 big contractor bags with clippings, and left me too sore to hardly move.

BR have you started on your grapple?
I had a neighbor come and look at mine, he was wanting to get a "yard tractor" (~35hp) and put a grapple on it to remove yaupon. He watch me removing a few LARGE yaupons, the kind 20' high with 3' root balls, and saw my tractor digging on 3 wheels and decided that his idea will not work with a lighter tractor.

Sounds like your getting a lot of good use out of yours .. Anything you'd change?

If the bracket the lid hinge sets on would be taller I could get more than a 41" opening and that would be better. I would also like the idea of 4 prongs off each lid instead of two and larger hydraulic cylinders to really crush hold and pull. I would not change anything on the bottom it's working just like I envisioned. The 6 1/2" between the 1" thick tines is a good distance that allows good digging picking up smaller wood.

Man that looks good, great finish look too, cant even see the nail heads:D

BR

We may be starting the big mud melt here. Temps will be in the mid-high 40s for the next few days. When the big melt comes we have mud for a month and more damage than good is done by going into the fields with equipment. Lots of clay in the soil.
Ron

Ron, Thaw was the worst time of year when we lived in Colorado, usually the 1st week or so in March.

Blue,
What's that tractor in the background with the propane tank on it? An Allis Chalmers?

Taller would then require more of a cylinder stroke .. What you have on it? Cylinders are weird.. For example on my hay grapples ... A 2x8 is 2500 psi .. A 2x10 is 2500 psi and 3x10 is also 2500 psi ... Anything with more than 2500 psi will then require enforcement of the mounting brackets..
