Test drive for a new owner

/ Test drive for a new owner #21
Hi Everyone!

Today was the day I had the opportunity to "test drive" Cerberus' machine (whew, I thought I'd never get all that limestone moved!!!!). It was a very informative and enjoyable meeting and I would like to thank John again for inviting me down and taking his time to explain his tractor setup and answer ALL my questions. It is an honor to belong to such a community as TBN where members sincerely care about sharing their experiences and information with one another in order to make our common interest safe and even more enjoyable.

Attached in the next few posts are some pictures!

Well, it sure looks like Stonebase John is an experienced tractor man. Look at the grin on his face!! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I still get that look when I'm on the tractors. I'm sure to wipe it off before I get back in the house though, or my wife thinks I'm having fun instead of working. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Garry isn't it remarkable how most any tractor can do that to a grown man...... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

John .
Glad you enjoyed the time on the machine . Not many dealers in the area will let you teat drive . So I figured that as your were close by offer a drive .
It's always great to meet new people , and make new friends .
You did have a couple of Questions that I hope I answered clearly , But I think if you were to ask them here you'd get a clearer idea as to what your choices are . Tires , trans type ,
mower type , and the size ( weight) of rear attachments.
You could also do a search on those items . But a lot of times the poster has a different set of needs than what you might have . so posting your specific circumstances along with the question will get you some very specific answers .
Again , It was a real pleasure . John

hEY stonebase Sure looked like a fina adventure. Nice of ol Tom Sawyer to let ypu help....

Betcha don't get many Okies in Volant. Is that Apple Dumplin House still there? I got their Wedding Soup recipe smuggled out to me.

Cerberus really isn't that ugly is he? /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif Must be the camera. Funny the tractor looks nice, though...

I bet its been four years since I last ate there. Funny, I can almost smell that burger (served with Wedding Soup /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif ) now.

My wife and I count it as one of our top ten restaurants in the world. (not that we have tried them all, yet)

But then, another one is the Betsy Ann Chocolate factory in West View. so we aren't normal...

Lotsa luck settling on a tractor!

Stonebase,

Sounds like this place could offer the makin' s for a TBN get together some morning, similar to what the Junkman and others do up there in New England... /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Would take me about an hour to get there...including dropping the wife off at the outlet mall at the I79 Grove City exit... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif On second thought, THAT could turn out to be an expensive breakfast! /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

If it ever happens, I guess I better drive by myself... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Stonebase and I are still trying to get together in the near future so he can do some of MY yardwork. Whoops! I mean, test drive my New Holland. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I drive past the place where he works frequently, and we often eat at the restaurant next door to it after church (it's got a buffet on Sundays, what more can I say?). I keep meaning to stop in and say hi, and now that I know what he looks like, I just might do that. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

In the far distant past we were . But then the tribe split .
His side of the tribe seemed to loose sense of taste in tractors /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Henro,
How far are you from New Castle? We could set up a get together for people who have 3.6 acres and more than one tractor! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
